Press Contact: Local Therapist to Present ‘Listening for Wellness’ Workshop at Wainwright Next Month( Greenwich , Conn. ) Feb. 14, 2008 – Melissa Chaikin Kahn, a registered occupational therapist with a private practice in Cos Cob, will present “Listening For Wellness,” an introductory workshop on the Dynamic Listening System (DLS) technique for mind and body health, next month at Wainwright House in Westchester. DLS is a method that uses the music of Mozart and Gregorian chant, filtered through special headphones, to foster spiritual, physical and psychological wellness. Based on the work of Dr. Alfred Tomatis, DLS increases energy and concentration, boosts memory and creativity, and helps practitioners become more organized and less stressed. “As you effortlessly listen to music that enhances and modulates particular frequencies chosen especially for you, improvements may be felt in a matter of weeks,” Kahn says.
