OT in Brain Conference Spotlight
Melissa Chaikin Kahn, pediatric OT and owner of Sensory Kids LLC in Cos Cob, CT, was expected to present her case study of "Maddie," a local pre-schooler with sensory-processing difficulties, at "Opening the Door to Unlimited Potential," the Advanced Brain Technologies (ABT) international conference, July 26-28 in Heber Valley, Utah.
ABT is a leader in the field of brain plasticity, the brain's natural ability to change itself. Kahn is a training-faculty member and a certified provider of ABT's The Listening Program (TLP), a method that uses specialized headphones and digital signal-processed music to improve auditory skills needed to listen, learn and communicate.
Her client has made significant strides toward overcoming sensory, visual and speech problems after TLP listening therapy sessions in the Sensory Kids office and at home.
Sensory Kids is a private OT practice for children of various ages and disabilities offering a unique platform of sensory integrative techniques combined with cutting-edge auditory programs to provide the most comprehensive, multi-sensory therapeutic treatment and programming available.
More information about The Listening Program is available from Advanced Brain Technologies, (888) 228-1798 or www.advancedbrain.com.
